Guns N' Roses' Duff McKagan Says He Missed Out on a Big Simpsons Paycheck
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 11.12.2012

Duff McKagan says that he regrets not officially licensing his name to The Simpsons. The former Guns N' Roses bassist told the Independent that he was contacted in the 1980s by a rep from FOX who said that one of their new shows had named their in-show beer "Duff" in honor of him and his propensity for drinking.

"I knew nothing about branding yourself then or the royalties off it," said McKagan. "I just thought cool, they wanna use my name and boom, The Simpsons was born. Yeah, if I had a nickel for every time… but it's fine."
