Mumford & Sons Covered Neil Young At Concert In Los Angeles
Posted by Joseph Lee on 11.13.2012

NME reports that Mumford & Sons covered Neil Young's "Dance Dance Dance" at a private taping of Live from the Artists Den at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday.

In between their shows at the Hollywood Bowl, they appeared just before 7:30 PM and played sixteen songs for the series. The show features artists playing invitation-only shows in non-traditional venues in North America. The song was from the 1971 album Crazy Horse and was written by Young after the success of his solo album After the Gold Rush.

After "Ghosts That We Knew", the band (Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, Ted Dwane and Winston Marshall) got together on stage and Mumford said: "We're going to play a Neil Young song. We haven't played it for about a year, but we've just discussed it and we're going to have a bit of a romp."

Their set also featured an unplugged version of "Timshel", which the band said they would not use their microphones for if the audience didn't use their camera phones. They stepped away from the monitors and played acoustically right next to the crowd. The band played at the Hollywood Bowl last night. Their Artists Den set will be available on artistsden.com. They will return to the UK for a tour that stars at the Princess Theatre in Torquay on November 21.

Mumford & Sons played:

'Lover's Eyes'
'I Will Wait'
'Roll Away Your Stone'
'Holland Road'
'For Those Below'
'Little Lion Man'
'Lover of the Light'
'After the Storm'
'Awake My Soul'
'Ghosts That We Knew'
'Dance Dance Dance'
'Below My Feet'
'Where Are You Now?'
'The Cave'
