Brandon Flowers is sick...
The Manchester Evening News and NME reports that The Killers ended a concert last night after after just four songs at the sold-out Manchester Arena.
Brandon Flowers told the crowd his voice was "gone" and then walked off stage. He said: "I'm sorry I've never had to do this before but we've gotta stop. I can't sing… I don't know what else to tell you. I'm sorry. I know it's frustrating for you and I'm sorry. I promise that we will come back."
A spokesperson for the band then came onstage to tell the audience that the show was over. Tonight's show has also been canceled. The band released a statement on Facebook which read: "Manchester, we started something we couldn't finish and we're so, so sorry. Working on rescheduling tonight and tomorrow's shows. Will let you know new dates ASAP. K"
They then wrote on Twitter: "Both Manchester shows (scheduled for the 13th & 14th) have been cancelled. We will have info about the rescheduled dates very soon. ?#hangtight"
A spokesperson said that the band's scheduled shows in London at the O2 Arena on Friday and Saturday will go ahead as planned. Manchester Arena spokesperson Matt Ward said: "The two Manchester Arena shows by The Killers on Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 November have been postponed. Lead singer Brandon Flowers had to take a break early into Tuesday evening's performance after complaining of a sore throat. Unfortunately, he was unable to continue with the rest of the show. Wednesday night's Manchester show has also been postponed. The band intend to reschedule both Manchester concerts for next year. Confirmation of the new dates is expected within 48 hours."
Those who bought tickets are being told to hang on to the tickets and contact their point of purchase for more information.
