AEG Claims That Michael Jackson's Assistant is a Disgrace to His Memory
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 11.14.2012

AEG has fired back at the former assistant of Michael Jackson that has filed a class-action suit against them, claiming that his lawsuit is completely without merit. As previously reported, Michael Amir Williams filed suit against AEG over the "This Is It" tour, claiming that the company was negligent in their employment of and failure to properly supervise and manage Conrad Murray, resulting in Jackson's death at a lethal dose of Propofol. Williams claims he and the rest of the crew lost out on a big check due to AEG's negligence.

TMZ spoke with a rep from AEG, who said, "This lawsuit is clearly frivolous; it is literally barred by at least four different legal doctrines." The rep went on to say that Williams has no case because he wasn't beneficiary of Jackson's contract and thus can't file suit.

The rep added, "The idea that Mr. Williams purports to sue on behalf of the many persons who did enter into relationships with AEG Live and Jackson ... and with whom AEG Live parted ways with the utmost friendship and respect, is disgraceful...This is just the latest wrongful death lawsuit with someone hoping to profit from Michael Jackson's tragic death in the same way they profited from his life."
