Kanye West And Bruce Springsteen To Perform At Hurricane Sandy Benefit
Posted by Joseph Lee on 11.15.2012

Billboard reports that Kanye West, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, The Who and Billy Joel will perform at the "12.12.12." Concert for Sandy Relief, which will happen on December 12. Other names include Paul McCartney, Roger Waters, Alicia Keys and Jon Bon Jovi. The event will take place at New York's Madison Square Garden. Proceeds go to the Robin Hood Relief Fund, which gives money and materials to tri-state organizations helping Sandy victims. Ticket information will be announced soon.

The concert was put together by Clear Channel Media, the Madison Square Garden Company and the Weinstein Company, who also put together "The Concert for New York City" after 9/11. The concert will be shown on TV but details have not been released.

Other bands like Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Dave Matthews Band have been donating large sums for relief efforts. Several artists got together for the Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together special on NBC, including Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Christina Aguilera and Mary J. Blige on November 2.

Another musical show, called "Occupy Sandy Benefit Concert" will happen this Saturday in Brooklyn Heights. Artists include Vampire Weekend, Real Estate, Devendra Banhart and members of the Dirty Projectors.
