[VIDEO] Will.I.Am Comments On Britney Spears Collaboration Leaking On Internet
Posted by Joseph Lee on 11.19.2012

Billboard spoke with Will.I.Am at the American Music Awards about the fact that his single with Britney Spears, "Scream and Shout", leaked online over the weekend. It was scheduled to debut this afternoon.

The two recorded the song three months ago and shot the video a month and a half later. It was planned to release them both at the same time.

He said: "Well, that's done. You can't undo it. It's out. It made it real. But once things go to the editing and coloring, it's not in your control. You don't know what that intern's getting paid. Or not getting paid. You don't know what's going on in their heads."

The song's video will still premiere on The X Factor on Thursday night. Will promised "uber fresh fashion" in the clip. He said: "The young kids brought their game. I don't want to say it's 'swag.' Because swag is… it's dope, but this is beyond swag. This is swag in reverse, which is gaws."

He also said that his album Willpower, which was originally supposed to debut in December before leaks pushed it back, will be out in early 2013. Will said: "Yeah, a lot of things got leaked."

This isn't the first time Spears and Will.I.Am worked together. In the spring of 2011, they collaborated on her song "Big Fat Bass", which appears on her album Femme Fatale.
