Some stories are too weird to not be true...
Billboard reports that Andrew WK has been deemed "too party" to be the cultural ambassador to Bahrain, where he would promote "partying and world peace".
He had been invited by the US Embassy in Bahrain to visit the country, but the State Department changed their minds.
He wrote on Twitter: "I'm just blown away. After a year of planning, the US State Dept. just canceled my Middle East trip because I'm too party. Music, dancing, and fun are important. Enjoying life is crucial, no matter how hard life is. #PartyingIsBetterThanWar"
Spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said that the offer was withdrawn because US officials thought he was an inappropriate choice for a conservative Muslim country.
Andrew WK is a singer, songwriter and motivational speaker.
