Deadmau5 also talks about a possible collaboration with Kanye West...
Billboard spoke with Deadmau5 over the issue of collaboration with other artists and how he prefers a one and done song project over a full album with one partner, stating that it would get "real stagnant."
Why he prefers a one and done song collaboration: "I like the collab thing. It's like a hooker, you don't have to marry it. Bad example, sorry! Okay, I like the temporary aspect of it."
On working with Gerard Wary for his Album Title Goes Here release: "I love Gerard, he's a cool dude. That was awesome, you know what I mean? But can you really imagine a whole album of him being pissed off at the world and me doing electronic music. And then that's an act in itself and that would get real stagnant with me."
His cautious reaction regarding the idea of a Kanye West/Deadmau5 collaobration: "I can guarantee that would be interesting."
Regarding the Forbes article that said he made annual earnings of $11.5 million: "After I saw the article, I called my manager and said, 'Yo, what the f---? I'm $9 million short, dude. We gotta talk.' Nobody is making that kind of money."
