NME reports that Johnny Depp joined Alice Cooper on stage at the Los Angeles Orpheum Theater on Thursday for Cooper's "Raise the Dead" tour.
Depp played guitar for the tribute portion on the show, playing covers for The Doors' 'Break On Through (To The Other Side)', The Beatles' 'Revolution', Jimi Hendrix's 'Foxy Lady' and The Who's 'My Generation'. The covers were chosen to pay tribute to Alice's old drinking buddies in the Hollywood Vampires. Depp also played for some Cooper songs like 'Poison' and 'Schools Out'.
It's not the first time Depp has played with a band as he's appeared on stage with The Black Keys and Oasis. It's not even the first time he's performed with Cooper, as they played together along with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith for the premiere of Dark Shadows. They performed a cover of The Beatles' "Come Together" with dueling guitar solos.
Depp will also join Cooper for his Christmas Pudding Charity Concert in Phoenix on December 8.
He played the following songs:
Break on Through (To The Other Side)
Revolution
Foxy Lady
My Generation
Poison
Under My Wheels
I'm 18
