Pusha T Announces Title of His Upcoming LP
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 11.30.2012

Pusha T has revealed the name of his new album. Billboard reports that the rapper revealed that My Name Is My Name will be out in early 2013; the title takes inspiration from The Wire.

In addition, Pusha confirmed that his verse on Ludacris' "Tell Me What They Mad For" was a slam on Lil Wayne and Birdman. The verse includes the line, "Ni**as saying you was better when the drugs was in your system / Now your crack swag gone ever since you came from prison."

Pusha said of the verse, which leaked on Wednesday, "It's new and was for Luda's album." As for why he dissed Wayne, he said, "Oh, because it's a Swizz beat. You got to blame Swizz. See, when Wayne got a Swizz beat with the "Ghoulish" track; he got busy, well, he tried to. I don't like to refer to my records as diss records. At the end of the day I make great records even in regards to whether they were aimed at somebody or not my records are great records… Don't cheapen my music by calling them [diss records]."
