The Killers Talk About Their New Christmas Single
Posted by Joseph Lee on 12.03.2012

The Killers' Ronnie Vannucci spoke with NME about their new Christmas single "I Feel It In My Bones", which was released on December 1 for World Aids Day.

The song will raise money for the (RED) campaign, which helps fight HIV/ Aids in Africa. It's a holiday reworking of a demo from early writing sessions for Battle Born.

Vannucci said it was "a bit more of a rock song" than their previous holiday songs.

He said: "It was an idea we had and a demo we recorded when we working on 'Battle Born' and it was so good... See what we do is we tend to make all these songs and then put them in a locker and find them way too late. This song was basically started a while back and we just finished it and changed it into more of a Christmas song. It was mixed by Alan Moulder, he did it when we were over in the UK a couple of weeks ago. I think it rides a line between Christmas and a 'Battle Born' track, but you'd be surprised what sleigh bells can do to a song!"

There will be a music video for the track, half of it shot in Las Vegas and the other half shot on their recent UK tour. Vannucci added: "It's a bit like [previous Christmas track] 'Don't Shoot Me Santa', where Santa comes back with a vengeance – it's that vibe."
