Noel Gallagher Says He Would Love To Play With Blur
Posted by Joseph Lee on 12.05.2012

NME reports that Noel Gallagher says he would love to play with Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon when they perform at a Teenage Cancer Trust concert next year.

Gallagher is the curator for the 2013 shows. He will headline at the Royal Albert Hall in London on March 23.

While at a press conference in London, he said: "They'll be playing Blur songs, I would think. I'll be playing mine. Will we share the stage together? I hope so. I'm up for it. It's always good to have a little jam. I'd initially wanted Blur to do it, because they've never done it. I was on tour with Graham, and asked him, and he said Blur had kind of been put to bed, it went back and forth, and they said they'd do it. And yeah: 10 years ago, who'd have thought it?"

When asked if he ever played any Blur songs, he replied: "I do play ‘Tender' sometimes at home to myself, when Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Minute Meals is on. He's got some good stuff going on on there!"

Kasabian and Russell Brand are also part of the shows. Kasabian will perform on March 22 while Brand will work with Noel Fielding on March 20.

Kasabian said in a statement: "The work that Teenage Cancer Trust carry out is vital and invaluable. We are honored to have been invited back for the third time to perform and support such a worthy cause."

Other acts include Ryan Adams, Rizzle Kicks and Primal Scream. Here are the dates:

Ryan Adams, Beth Orton - March 19
Russell Brand, Noel Fielding - 20
Primal Scream - 21
Kasabian - 22
Noel Gallagher/ Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon - 23
Rizzle Kicks, Labrinth - 24
