James Murphy is producing the film...
James Murphy's denial in October that he was producing Arcade Fire's new album appears to have been untrue. MusicWeek spoke with the band's manager Scott Rodger, who has confirmed that the LCD Soundsystem frontman is in the studio with the indie rock band working on the group's first album since their Grammy-winning effort The Suburbs.
"They're in with James Murphy on three or so songs, plus Markus Dravs who is a long-time collaborator," said Rodgers. "They write too many songs - that's a good problem to have. There's around 35 songs with Arcade Fire, two albums'-worth for sure."
