The Rolling Stones Joke About Jay-Z At New York Show
Posted by Joseph Lee on 12.10.2012

NME reports that Mick Jagger joked about Jay-Z during their 23-song show at the Barclays Arena in Brooklyn. He referenced a clip from Jay-Z's upcoming documentary in which Jay-Z talks to an old woman on the subway.

He said: "It's great to be here in Brooklyn, in this great new arena. We rode the subway here, I sat next to a guy named Jay Zed…I mean Jay-Z."

The band, who previously performed in London last month, opened their show with "Get Off My Cloud" before the Lennon/McCartney-written 'I Wanna Be Your Man'. The band were then joined by Mary J. Blige for "Gimme Shelter". They were joined by blues guitarist Gary Clark Jr for "Going Down" and the Trinity Wall Street Choir on 'You Can't Always Get What You Want'.

They will next perform two shows at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on December 13 and 15. They will also play the 12.12.12 Hurricane Sandy relief concert in New York.

The Rolling Stones played:

'Get Off Of My Cloud'
'I Wanna Be Your Man'
'The Last Time'
'Paint It, Black'
'Gimme Shelter'
'Wild Horses'
'Going Down'
'All Down The Line'
'Miss You'
'One More Shot'
'Doom And Gloom'
'It's Only Rock 'N' Roll (But I Like It)'
'Honky Tonk Women'
'Before They Make Me Run'
'Happy'
'Midnight Rambler'
'Start Me Up'
'Tumbling Dice'
'Brown Sugar'
'Sympathy For The Devil'
'You Can't Always Get What You Want'
'Jumpin' Jack Flash'
'(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction'
