A convicted murderer plotted to have Justin Bieber murdered. TMZ reports that the man, Dana Martin, is doing two life sentences for rape and murder of a fifteen year-old girl in Vermont in 2000. Martin recruited a fellow inmate at Las Cruces prison in New Mexico to murder and castrate Bieber once the other inmate, Mark Stake, was released.
According to KRQE News, the date of the plot being originally conceived is unknown. Stake brought his nephew Tanner Ruane in on the plan and they made a move to kill Bieber in New York City last month, where Bieber was performing. However, Martin brought the whole plan to light before it could happen and Stake was arrested in Vermont on outstanding warrants before he could kill Bieber. Ruane had made it to New York with a set of tools that included pruning shears but was caught and placed under arrest.
Martin told police that the two planned to kidnap Bieber and his bodyguard and strangle them with paisley ties (Martin's M.O.), after which Ruane was then going to castrate them. Martin is reportedly obsessed with Beieber and has a tattoo of him on his leg.
