The Black Keys To Record New Album This Winter

In an interview with BBC 6 Music (via NME), The Black Keys revealed that they are recording a new album this winter, which will be their eighth.
They will record the album in a studio in North Michigan. It will be the follow-up to 2011's El Camino.
Drummer Patrick Carney said they were going back to the studio because they "had to make an album". Guitarist and singer Dan Auerbach said it was "not a new thing" for them to go back so soon after the previous record. He added: "That's just how we've operated for twelve years. We're just doing what we do. It will just be the two of us in a studio in North Michigan during the winter – it's going to be awesome."
Auerbach also said they may continue to record in Nashville later next year, with plans to work with Danger Mouse for a couple of songs. Danger Mouse co-produced El Camino.
The band played the second show in their two night run at the O2 Arena in London, which were their largest ever in the UK. They are also on a list of 75 songs that could be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song, thanks to "Baddest Man Alive" from The Man With The Iron Fists.
