[AUDIO] Snoop Lion Releases New Song
Posted by Joseph Lee on 12.15.2012

NME reports that Snoop Lion has released a new song called "Lighters Up", from his album Reincarnated.

Snoop Dogg changed his name to Snoop Lion this year to go along with his new reggae sound. He had help on the song from Mavado and Popcaan. It's the third song to be released from the album after "Here Comes the King" (December 4) and "La La La" (November 1).

Snoop has recently said that he didn't have to explain why he changed his direction, as he has complete creative freedom. He will release the album in February along with a documentary about his new style. He said: "If I just drop this music, it leaves room for questioning. You wouldn't understand the whole journey or the transformation. When I allow you to see the movie, to go on the journey with me, to see exactly why I'm the Lion."

Snoop also recently played his first live show in Toronto, Canada, which featured covers of Bob Marley's 'Could You Be Loved' and 'Iron Lion Zion'.
