Demi Lovato and LeAnn Rimes Among Duet Partners For X Factor Finale
Posted by Joseph Lee on 12.18.2012

Billboard reports that Demi Lovato and LeAnn Rimes are among the names that will perform with the final three acts vying for the prize (a $5 million dollar recording contract) during the X Factor finale.

Judges Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid (who is leaving after the finale) joined the contestants (Fifth Harmony, Carly Rose Sonenclar and Tate Stevens) at a press conference yesterday to talk about what to expect.

Cowell said of Fifth Harmony: "Kinda irritating to say, the person we've decided to duet with is Demi Lovato." The all-girl group previously covered two of Lovato's songs, "Skyscraper" and "Give Your Heart a Break". Lovato has been bickering with Cowell all season.

Stevens told reporters that he requested Garth Brooks as his duet partner only to learn he was "not an option". Instead, he will perform with Little Big Town. Stevens said that it will be "awesome".

Spears' protege Sonenclar will perform with LeAnn Rimes, even though she hasn't performed a single country song during her run. Sonenclar said she thought Rimes was "amazing".

Last season saw Avril Lavigne, Alanis Morissette and R. Kelly perform with Chris Rene, Josh Krajnik and Melanie Amaro.
