Bruno Mars Is Still #1 On Hot 100
Posted by Joseph Lee on 12.27.2012

Billboard reports that Bruno Mars' "Locked Out Of Heaven" is #1 on the Hot 100 for the third week in a row. It is also on top of the Radio Songs chart for the first time. Since it is already #1 on the Digital and On-Demand song charts, it is the first song to be on top of all four lists at the same time.

It is also the first song to get on top of the Hot 100, Radio Songs and Digital Songs at the same time since Rihanna and Calvin Harris' "We Found Love" on December 3, 2011. The only other songs to do this last year included Maroon 5 and Christina Aguliera's "Moves Like Jagger" (for two weeks), Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" (three) and Katy Perry & Kanye West's "E.T.". It is the first song by a male solo artist to lead all three charts since Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie" (featuring Rihanna) which did it on August 28, 2010.

Mars' ascension on Radio Songs gives him his fourth #1 on that chart, which ties him with Sean Paul and T.I. for fifth place among males. Only Usher (7), Ludacris (6), Kanye West (6) and 50 Cent (6) have more. Among all acts, Mariah Carey has the most with eleven.

Coming in at #2 is Rihanna's "Diamonds", by about the same margin as last week in chart points. Rounding out the top five is The Lumineers' "Ho Hey", Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble" (climbing 10-4 to get the top Digital Gainer award for a second week in a row) and Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj's "Beauty and a Beat".

"Beauty"'s arrival in the top five gives Bieber is third top five song on the Hot 100 after "Baby" (#5, 2010) and "Boyfriend" (#2, April). It is his second top ten on Radio Songs after his collaboration with Big Sean "As Long As You Love Me" and his third top ten on On-Demand Songs after "Boyfriend" and "Love Me", which both hit #5.

The rest of the top ten is made up of Ke$ha's "Die Young", Maroon 5's "One More Night", Flo Rida's "I Cry", Phillip Phillips' "Home" and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' "Thrift Shop", featuring Wanz. As "Home" sold 110,000 downloads, it has passed three million sold since its release. "Thrift Shop" is the only new entry in the top ten of the Hot 100, climbing from #13.

Kelly Clarkson has her fifteenth top 40 Hot 100 hit with "Catch My Breath" climbing 49-30 and The Voice season three winner Cassadee Pope gets the top debut at #60 with a cover of Faith Hill's 2002 song "Cry".
