Will John Mayer Propose to Katy Perry In the Next Year?

Katy Perry may be the woman who has tamed the wild John Mayer. Hollywood Life reports that according to a close friend of John's, the singer is head over heels for Katy and may well propose in the coming year.
"John is completely cuckoo for Katy," said the source. "They are, like, the perfect match for each other. They can talk about music, writing, traveling. They both want to take a trip to Japan together. Katy adores her fans there and John has always enjoyed spending time there."
The friend goes on to add, "John really likes the fact that Katy is so independent and not needy and clingy like other girls he has dated. This is the first time John has felt so strongly about a girlfriend. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he proposed to her. Not immediately but eventually. They both really do bring out the best in each other."
