Jay-Z has been confirmed to be composing the score for Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby. Jeymes Samuel of The Bullitts posted to Twitter that the Bullitts and Jay will be working together on the score for the film, saying:
Jay-Z and myself have been working tirelessly on the score for the upcoming #CLASSIC The Great Gatsby! It is too DOPE for words!
Jay and Kanye West's "No Church in the Wild" was used in Luhrmann's first trailer to the film which stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan and Joel Edgerton.
In addition, Collider reports that Prince and Lady Gaga may be providing new songs for the film's soundtrack, though that has not been confirmed. The film opens on May 10th.
