Posted by Joseph Lee on 01.02.2013

NME reports that both Kings of Leon and Beyonce played private shows on New Year's Eve.

Kings of Leon performed at an exclusive party of 400 guests which included P Diddy, Roger Waters and Rick Rubin. The event was thrown by Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich and happened on a yacht on the Caribbean island of St Barts. It cost around $8,147,000 to put together.

Meanwhile, Beyonce had a private show for 700 guests at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas. Just after the show, she posted a message to her fans on Instagram. She wrote: "In our perfect ways, in the ways we are beautiful, in the ways we are human, we are here. Happy New Year, let's make it ours – Beyonce."
