Julian Lennon Says Bono's Eyesight is Deteriorating

The son of John Lennon says that the lead singer of U2's eyesight is deteriorating. Julian Lennon told the Irish Daily Star that the singer's eye condition, which makes him particularly sensitive to light, is getting worse.
"Bono actually has a condition with his eyes," said Lennon. "I don't know the exact issue but the brightness of the sun hurts them and it's a deteriorating issue."
He added of the singer's trademark sunglasses, which are in part to combat the condition, "It's part of his image. In some senses it was lucky but not really of course. Maybe it's part of his process now and without the image he can't be Bono."
