Musician Tom Waits will be making an appearance in tonight's episode of The Simpsons.
Waits is set to play himself in the episode which airs tonight on the Fox network. The episode is titled "Homer Goes to Prep School." In the episode, Waits will introduce Homer to a group of committed "Preppers," a survivalist movement where people make active preparations for possible global disasters.
According to producer Al Jean, Waits does not sing in the episode, but fans should recognize his distintive voice "in a second." The episode was originally slated to air last December.
