Broadway Show Featured On Smash Getting A Cast Album
Posted by Joseph Lee on 01.07.2013

Billboard reports that the Broadway show within a show on NBC's Smash is getting its own cast album.

Both NBC and Columbia Records will release a 22-song album for Bombshell, the Broadway play featured in Smash, on February 12. It will feature cast members including Katherine McPhee and Megal Hilty. The second season of the show will premiere a week before the album is released.

Producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron have previously said they'd like to make Bombshell an actual Broadway show but nothing has happened so far. Zadan said that he thinks the cast recording is as good as the music on any current show.

The soundtrack will have music from both seasons.
