Fox President Gives Thoughts On If Britney Spears Will Be Back For X Factor Season 3
Posted by Joseph Lee on 01.08.2013

In an interview with E! News, FOX President Kevin Reilly gave his thoughts on whether or not Britney Spears will be back for The X Factor season three. There have been rumors that she will leave along with L.A. Reid, who will be gone after two seasons.

He said: "For next year, I don't know." He then quickly said "yeah" if he wants her back. He said that Simon Cowell is currently on vacation and "hasn't talked about any of this going forward."

He added: "I actually thought it went very, very well. It was fraught with unknowns. I think Britney did a really good job. She came on, people remain fascinated by her and always will be. People got to know her a little bit, maybe some people were waiting for more drastic displays of some nature that never came…She tucked in really nicely on that bench."

Cowell said in December that he hadn't decided on if Spears would return. He said: "I don't know yet, to be honest with you," he said. "I haven't had the conversation with her whether she'd want to, what other commitments she's got."

When asked about the ratings this season, Reilly replied: "Last year the ratings were better, but I think it was a better show this year…pound for pound, I thought The X Factor was excellent this year."
