Beyonce, James Taylor and Kelly Clarkson To Perform At President Obama's Second Inaugeration

USA Today reports that Beyonce, James Taylor and Kelly Clarkson will perform at the second inauguration of President Barack Obama on January 21. Beyonce will sing the national anthem, Taylor will sing "America the Beautiful" and Clarkson will sing "My Country, 'Tis of Thee". In 2009, Aretha Franklin performed the same song.
There will be more announcements made about the inauguration in the next few days. It will happen during the public swearing-in ceremonies on the steps of the Capitol building, as Obama will give his second inaugural address to a crowd of over one million. Obama will take the oath of office at the White House on January 20 (as it says in the Constitution), but the swearing-in ceremony, the inaugural parade, the lunch with Congress and the inaugural balls will take place on Monday.
In 2009, there was an estimated 1.8 million people at the National mall to watch Obama's first inauguration. This time it will be more low-key with fewer people and only two official balls.
