Bruno Mars Once Again #1 On BIllboard Hot 100
Posted by Joseph Lee on 01.09.2013

Bruno Mars is once again #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It is the longest-reigning of Mars' four #1 hits. He had two weeks on top as a guest on B.o.B's "Nothin' On You" (2010), then two four-week runs with "Just the Way You Are" (2010) and "Grenade" (2011).

The rest of the top five includes Rihanna's "Diamonds", which is also on top of the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for the 14th week. Heaven had 8,000 overall chart points over "Diamonds", although each dropped by 31% in sales. There's an even closer race between the songs at 2-4 by about 1000 chart points. Taylor Swift's "I Knew you Were Trouble" falls to #3 while gaining the top Airplay Gainer Award, followed by The Lumineers' "Ho Hey" and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (featuring Wanz) "Thrift Shop", which gets the Streaming Gainer Award.

The rest of the top ten includes Phillip Phillips' "Home" (a new peak at #6), Justin Bieber/Nicki Minaj's "Beauty and a Beat" and the Will.I Am and Britney Spears song "Scream & Shout". This is Will.I.Am's third solo top ten and first as a lead artist. He hit the top ten before as a guest on Flo Rida's "In The Ayer" in 2008, which peaked at #9, and Usher's #1 song "OMG" in 2010. He has ten top tens as a member of the Black Eyed Peas, giving him thirteen overall. This is also the thirteenth appearance in the top ten for Spears, who first got the honor in December 12, 1998 with "...Baby One More Time" getting #9. It was the first of five straight #1 hits. Her last top ten entry was "I Wanna Go" in summer 2011, which peaked at #7.

The list concludes with Maroon 5's "One More Night" and Flo Rida's "I Cry".

1. Bruno Mars - "Locked Out Of Heaven"
2. Rihanna - "Diamonds"
3. Taylor Swift - "I Knew You Were Trouble"
4. The Lumineers - "Ho Hey"
5. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (ft Wanz) - "Thrift Shop"
