Al Green Comments on Missing Inaugural Ball

Al Green says that scheduling conflict kept him from performing his classic hit "Let's Stay Together" at the inaugural ball. Jennifer Hudson sang the song at the ball, and in a statement to the AP (via Billboard), Green's rep said that he was asked to sing but was not able to due to previous commitments.
Green said he would be honored to sing for the president in the future.
