Posted by Joseph Lee on 01.23.2013

Billboard reports that Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have finally hit #1 on the Hot 100 with "Thrift Shop", featuring Wanz, climbing up from #2. Meanwhile, Justin Timberlake's "Suit & Tie" climbs 84-4 after the first full week of airplay.

It is also #1 on Digital Songs, Steaming Songs (1.68 million steams, up 16%) and On-Demand Songs (for the third week with 1.54 million on-demand streams, up 16%). It has passed the record for most weekly on-demand streams since the creation of the list in March. The survey includes data from subscription services Spotify, Rdio, Muve Music, Slacker, Rhapsody and Xbox Music.) "Thrift" passed the previous holder, Goyte's "Somebody That I Used To Know" (1.41 million on-demand streams the week of May 5, 2012).

They are the first duo to get a #1 on the Hot 100 with its first entry since Los Del Rio's "Macarena" was on top for 14 weeks in 1996. The song beats Bruno Mars' "Locked Out Of Heaven" by 9,000 overall chart points, gaining 22% in points while "Locked" drops 6%

The rest of the top five sees the dethroned Bruno Mars' "Locked Out of Heaven", The Lumineers' "Ho Hey". and Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble".

It's his first as a lead artist since "Summer Love" hit #6 in June 2007. Timberlake now has twice as many Hot 100 top tens on his own as N'Sync, which had six between 1999 and 2002.
