Gary Allan Set To Get His First #1 On The Billboard 200
Posted by Joseph Lee on 01.24.2013

Billboard reports that country singer Gary Allan is set to get the first #1 on the Billboard 200 in his career, which began in 1996. His album Set You Free, through MCA Nashville, may sell between 80,000 and 90,000 copies by the end of the week.

This will be Allan's best sales week since 2005. He last sold over 80,000 when Tough All Over debuted at #3 with 100,000.

The new album is helped by the hit single "Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain)", which is #2 on the Country Airplay chart this week. It's the biggest hit for him since 2008 when "Watching Airplanes" climbed up to #2. He has ten previous albums on the Billboard 200, including four in the top ten. These include Tough All Over (#3, 2005), Greatest Hits (#5, 2007), Living Hard (#3, 2007) and Get Off On The Pain (#5, 2010). On the Country Albums chart he had over seven top tens, who of which went to #1 (Tough and Greatest Hits).
