Red Hot Chili Peppers Booked for Coachella an Hour Before the Line-up was Announced
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 01.26.2013

Rolling Stone reports that the Red Hot Chili Peppers agreed to headline the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival just an hour before the organizers announced the 2013 line-up according to the manager for the band.

Cliff Burnstein, said the band signed on as the Sunday night headliner with only an hour to spare. He said, "We've been in talks for months. It goes down to the wire. It's a negotiation."

Regarding the reports that the Chili Peppers were no longer suited to play the festival, Burnstein said, "We'll be right in the target demo for Coachella. It's surprising, but it's true."
