Timbaland Suing Over Missing Watch
Posted by Joseph Lee on 01.26.2013

TMZ reports that Timbaland has filed a lawsuit against his insurance company (American Home Assurance Company) that he claims refuses to pay for a $1.8 million watch that went missing two years ago.

He filed the suit last month and claims he paid over $50,000 to take out a policy with the AHA in May 2010. He says the policy covered several expensive items including the Jacob & Co. 18K white gold watch, which has 30 carats of diamonds. He lost the watch in August 2010 and filed a claim. He said he even testified under oath that it was missing but the company denied his request.

This is the same watch that he reported stolen two years ago when his family called the cops claiming he was so bothered by the loss he might commit suicide. Timbaland swore he never planned to do that. He told the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department that he thought "someone he knows" stole it and they started an investigation.

He said he believes it was two-and-a-half-year-old daughter who "picked [the watch] up and played with it until she became bored and discarded it somewhere." He added: "It has never been found."

He is suing for the value of the watch plus interest and attorneys' fees.
