Justin Bieber Could Make History On Billboard 200
Posted by Joseph Lee on 01.26.2013

Billboard reports that if Justin Bieber's Believe Acoustic gets #1 on the Billboard 200, it will create two historic achievements for him.

The first is that he will be the only artist in history to have five #1 albums before turning 19. He and Miley Cyrus are tied with four each. Cyrus is now 20 and had four #1 albums between 2006 and 2009. Her last #1 was the soundtrack for Hannah Montana: The Movie on May 2, 2009, when she was 16 years and five months old.

The second is that Bieber would become the 10th act to get a #1 album in four consecutive years. This would follow My World 2.0 (2010), Never Say Never: The Remixes (2011) and Believe (2012).

Jay-Z currently has the longest streak of consecutive years of #1 albums with seven between 1998 and 2004. In 2004, he had two with Unfinished Business (with R. Kelly) and MTV Ultimate Mash-Ups Presents: Collision Course (with Linkin Park).

The other acts with four or more years in a row include the Beatles (six years, 1965-70) Paul McCartney/Wings (five, 1973-77), Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass (four, 1965-68), Garth Brooks (four, 1991-94), Chicago (four, 1972-75), Elton John (four, 1972-75), the Rolling Stones (four, 1971-74) and Cyrus (four, 2006-09).
