The Strokes' New Album Has A Name
Posted by Joseph Lee on 01.30.2013

Billboard reports that The Strokes' fifth album will be called Comedown Machine and it will be released through RCA Records on March 26.

"All the Time" will be the album's first official single (released on February 19), after the band released the song "One Way Trigger" as a free download on its official website last Friday. The song will be a free download for those who pre-order the album.

Billboard reported last June that the band were at the Electric Lady Studios in New York with producer Gus Oberg to record the follow-up to 2011's Angles. On January 16, Seattle's 107.7 The End posted on its Facebook page: "Previewing brand new Strokes 'All the Time' thanks to RCA Records. We'll have to 'leak' this soon. You won't be disappointed… -mike,", which started the rumors of new material.

The album will be out almost two years to the day that Angles was released. It's the fastest turnaround between albums for the band ever. Angles was led by the single "Under Cover of Darkness" and sold 221,000 copies.
