Jay-Z Chose Not to Join Beyonce for Super Bowl Performance

He didn't want to take away from her big moment...
Jay-Z was originally scheduled to perform last night with Beyonce but chose not to at the last moment. Us Weekly reports that the rapper was set to do his verse in "Crazy in Love," but decided not to join his wife so she could have the moment herself.
"He wanted that to be her moment and didn't want to take away from it," said a a source close to the couple. "She had been working her ass off."
Jay-Z instead watched from a "special area" along with their daughter Blue Ivy and other family members. He did join Justin Timberlake at the DirecTV party the night before.
