David Bowie's Aladdin Sane Getting 40th Anniversary Reissue
Posted by Joseph Lee on 02.05.2013

NME reports that David Bowie's sixth album, Aladdin Sane will be remastered and reissued for its 40th anniversary this year.

The album was a follow-up to 1972's The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars. It was released in April 1973. Most of the songs were written while on the road in the US.

The album was co-produced by Bowie and Ken Scott. It was recorded at Trident Studios in London and RCA Studios in New York. It was the last album featuring the line-up of Mick Ronson (guitar, piano, backing vocals), Trevor Bolder (bass) and Mick ‘Woody' Woodmansey (drums), and it also featured pianist Mike Garson.

The re-release will be out on April 15. It was remastered by Ray Staff at AIR Studios in London. Staff cut the original album during his time at Trident Studios and remastered Ziggy Stardust for its 40th anniversary last year.

Here's the track list:

'Watch That Man'
'Aladdin Sane (1913-1938-197?)'
'Drive-In Saturday'
'Panic In Detroit'
'Cracked Actor'
'Time'
'The Prettiest Star'
'Let's Spend the Night Together'
'The Jean Genie'
'Lady Grinning Soul'
