Geezer Butler Provides Update On Black Sabbath's Tour
Posted by Joseph Lee on 02.05.2013

While at the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants), Black Sabbath's Geezer Butler was interviewed by Eddie Trunk for Hartke (via Metal Insider). In that interview, he not only provided information on Black Sabbath's upcoming tour but may have accidentally revealed that Rage Against the Machine will be getting back together.

He confirmed that there will be a new Black Sabbath album (13), their first with Ozzy in 35 years, this June. The band might also hit the US for a tour, after previously announced international dates in the spring and early summer.
He said: "We start at the end of April in New Zealand, then we go to Australia, then Japan. June, we'll be promoting the album, then July and August [is] USA. Then October is South America and Europe in November and December."

The tour will be strictly Black Sabbath and not a part of Ozzfest.

When asked if the drummer on the road will be Rage Against the Machine's Brad Wilk (who recorded on the album) or Tommy Clufetos, he replied: "We're not sure yet. We don't know beause I think Brad's got commitments with Rage Against The Machine. So it'll probably be either Tommy or Brad, depending on their commitments."

Tom Morello previously said that RATM would not be getting back together, but that doesn't seem to be the case here.
