More Details Revealed About Britney Spears' Las Vegas Residency Deal
Posted by Joseph Lee on 02.06.2013

The Daily Mail reports that Britney Spears' Las Vegas deal won't be a multi-million dollar one.

A formal announcement is expected to be made in the next few weeks, even with fans worrying that the show could cause problems for Spears.

Her former fiance Jason Trawick is believed to be the one who set the deal up with Planet Hollywood, as he is good friends with Robert Earl (along with Spears' manager Larry Rudolph). Trawick was her former agent and co-conservator which gave him the authority to make decisions about her well-being including food, clothing, travel and medical care, with her father Jamie. He quit that role after their relationship ended.

A source said that the deal is for a smaller residency instead of something like Celine Dion's five-night-a-week contract with The Colosseum at Caesar's Palace - for which the singer reportedly earns $20,000 per song.

The source said: "Nobody expects this to be a five-night-a week residency, it wouldn't be right for Britney right now."

One of the Caesar's Palace casinos is also thought to be in talks with her even though a spokeswoman said there was no openings in their lineup of Elton John, Shania Twain, Rod Stewart and Celine Dion. Emily Wofford, public relations director for Caesars, said the venue was "packed every weekend" for months and that the firm is "engaged with a number of today's top artists in discussions regarding headlining residencies at our venues in Las Vegas." She added the company is "always interested in having artists with the caliber of Britney Spears performing at our theaters."

Britney added to the rumors when she replied to a tweet from her dog Hannah asking if she the dog would be allowed to gamble. She wrote: "I don't think so honey #VivaLasVegas :)"

She was fired from The X Factor last month and then split with Trawick in the same week.

Meanwhile, her new video with Will.I.Am for "Scream & Shout" hit 103 million views on Youtube. She wrote on Twitter: "100 Million views of the Scream & Shout video! Truly is All Eyes on US @iamwill. Love to all the fans!"
