CBS Cracking Down on Celebrities Showing Skin at the Grammy Awards
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 02.06.2013

CBS has sent an email to all talent appearing at the Grammy Awards on Sunday warning them not to bare too much skin. TMZ has obtained the email, which was sent by CBS Standards and Practices to individuals connected to the various celebrities expected to appear on camera during the Grammy telecast and gives several warnings.

Among the warnings, celebrities must make sure not to show too much of their gentials, butt or breasts. The email notes that "Thong type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack...Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic. Please avoid sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples."

It continues, "Please be sure the genital region is adequately covered so that there is no visible 'puffy' bare skin exposure. Please avoid commercial identification of actual brand name products on T-shirts."

In addition, the email notes that all foreign language on clothing has to be cleared. The email notes that "Obscenity or partially seen obscenity on wardrobe is unacceptable for broadcast. This as well, pertains to audience members that appear on camera."

Finally, CBS is banning any sort of accessory which contains the name of an organized cause if it is "visibly spelled out." If not spelled out, it is fine.
