It's that time again! 411mania.com is looking for some fresh new faces to add to the music zone! If you've ever wanted your ideas and views to be read by THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of people, this is your chance.
411 is one of the most popular websites of its kind, attracting millions of hits per month. Writing on 411 also opens up doors for those interested in progressing as writers.
Please note the following:
Writing for 411 is no joke. It takes time (often a lot of time) and work (often a lot of work). We take this very seriously and so should you. Don't apply unless you are serious and plan to stick around.
Be professional! Spell and grammar check anything you submit, EVEN SAMPLES. We are a globally recognized site and try to uphold professionalism.
Be original! We want someone new. Someone who can add something to the site that we don't currently have. Be yourself!
Follow instructions! If you don't follow the application process as outlined below, you likely will be eliminated right away.
- Album Reviewer: Would need to provide four new album reviews of 500+ words per month. Reviews would need to be of current albums by well-known artists or buzz-worthy up-and-coming acts. Some advanced reviewable albums may be available from time to time.

- News Reports: News reports are weekly reports that go over cover major stories from the week and provide commentary. We are looking for writers to handle the following, or to come up with their own:
The Music 5 & 1 - A weekly news report covering five pieces of gossip and pop culture music news from the past week, as well as a weekly "Vs" competition and the "& 1" Model of the Week.

- Opinion Columnists: We're looking for a few new columnists who can provide a unique, creative, fun to read weekly column about Music. We strongly encourage your column to have a fixed weekly format or "gimmick" if possible. We don't want "walls of text," we want a unique format that includes images, videos if possible, headers that divide up the text, etc. We are specifically looking at the following opinion columns to be filled, or for applicants to come up with their own:
411 Ten Deep - A weekly column that ranks the top ten choices of a particular topic each week, such as Top 10 Albums of 2000, Top 10 Led Zeppelin Tracks, Top 10 British Invasion Bands, et cetera.

411 Music Versus - A weekly column that pits two artists or other musical entities against each other and a winner is determined using whatever criteria the author puts forth.

INSTRUCTIONS
Include at least ONE FULL sample review/column.
Do not include attachments; include samples IN the actual email.
Do not send us links to samples. Include the samples IN the actual email.
Make sure your samples are about MUSIC.
Title your email "411 MUSIC APPLICATION"
Do not send us more than one email. Include EVERYTHING in one email. We expect tons of emails and do not want extra emails.
