NME reports that Liam Gallagher told a teenage fan that he would like the new Beady Eye album if he was into drugs.
Two teen fans, Ryan Butterworth and Elliot Cole, ran into Gallagher outside of the Forester's Arms in Brokenhurst and uploaded the video to Youtube. Gallagher says to them: "It's rock 'n' roll but it's fired out into space. If you're into drugs you'll like it. it's pretty druggy."
He also said that they will tour soon and are planning for live shows together. He added: "We'll be out in a few months. We're playing festivals, bar mitzvahs. We've got to make it right this time, last time was a bit fucking stupid."
When asked about Beady Eye playing the Reading festival, Gallagher said they're "not doing that fucking thing!"
NME aksed Butterworth about the meeting and he described Gallagher as "genuinely the nicest man I have ever met". Butterworth is a college student in Brockenhurst. Gallagher was at a local recording studio where he had just finished mixing the new album.
He said: "He was happy to be filmed – he didn't mention it – and he was happy to look at the camera. He was really down to earth and I stayed with him for about two hours drinking with him. [I was] asking lots of questions he said he was in the area as he just finished mixing the new album around the corner. I am a huge Gallagher fan. I have every record ever. Being a musician there is no one I look up to more in music."
The album will be out sometime this year. Gallagher previously said this is "the LP Oasis should have made after '...Morning Glory.''
