[VIDEO] Common Says He Wants to See a Black Pope

Common says that the next leader of the Catholic Pope being black would be "a beautiful thing." As you may know, Pope Benedict XVI has announced his retirement, the first pope in 600 years to do so. So of course, TMZ wanted to know what Common had to say, particularly because of the believed likelihood of Ghanan cardinal Peter Turkson being elected into the position.
Common said that "Sometimes it's time to give it up" and said about Turkson's election "would be a beautiful thing, don't you think?" He noted that the world is getting more open to not judging people by color as well. Check his response out below.
