Lil Mama Cast As Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes In TLC Biopic

New York Daily News reports that Lil Mama (Naitia Jessica Kirkland) has been cast as Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes in VH1's biopic about TLC that is in pre-production.
She gained fame with her 2007 song "Lip Gloss". MC Lyte revealed the news on the red carpet of the VIBE Impact Awards. She said: "I don't know if I'm supposed to say, but I will. She just got the role of Left Eye in TLC's new movie."
The group also included Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas. MC Lyte also said she's working with Mama on a female rappers collaboration record.
She added: "I am so excited for her. She is a talented young lady. So I want to see her do some beautiful things."
Lopes died in 2002 while shooting a documentary in Honduras. The other two TLC members will be the executive producers and consultants. There have also been rumors of a new TLC album and tour.
