Paramore Credit Dutch Uncles, Alt-J and Frank Ocean As Influences On Next Album
Posted by Joseph Lee on 02.12.2013

In an interview with In Demand (via NME), Paramore revealed their influences for their upcoming self-titled album as Dutch Uncles, Alt-J and Frank Ocean.

Guitarist Taylor York said: "I always like the weird bands. There's a band called Dutch Uncles that I was really into and Alt-J was a big one for me and I was listening to that Frank Ocean record a lot. I'm kind of really ADD when it comes to music so I was all over the place, honestly. But those were some highlights."

Hayley Williams added: "This album is about reintroducing ourselves to not only our fans but to ourselves. We've really become quite a different band and quite different people over the last couple of years, just having the time to grow up and figure out the skin that we're in, figure out the life that we're living away from the stage and away from the crowds. That was a big journey for us. And then to be writing and making our fourth album it just felt like we were coming into our own a little bit. We're really excited about the place that we're in as a band and we really wanted to show that excitement…"

The band debuted their latest single "Now" last month. The album will be out on April 9. A teaser showed the band recording and writing
