[VIDEO] Fleetwood Mac Will Keep Making Music If People Want It

In an interview with Billboard, Stevie Nicks said that Fleetwood Mac will keep working on new songs "if the world does want more music from us."

They will begin a tour this spring, their first since 2009. While they will play new songs, they are not ready for a new album.

Nicks said: "Big, long albums don't seem to be what everybody wants these days. So we thought, well, let's go the other route, because Lindsey [Buckingham] was adamant that we have some new product."

They will add the new material into their set list after successful recording sessions at Buckingham's home. A digital release is planned for the songs.

Buckingham added: "Two of them are ones that we cut with John [McVie] and Mick [Fleetwood], and when Stevie got off the road, she came over to my house and sang on those. We had the best time we'd had in years, doing that."

Nicks said: "[Let's] see if the world does want more music from us. If we get that back, if we get that feeling, that they do want another 10 songs, we can reassess."

The band's album Rumours has a 35th anniversary reissue that was released earlier this year, and the band will still play many of their hits. Fleetwood added: "We play a body of songs that people have to hear."
