Coldplay Teams Up With Charity For New Music Video
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 02.15.2013

Coldplay is teaming up with Oxfam, a charity organization dedicated to fighting poverty and injustice, for a new music video that will be part of a campaign to combat land grabs. NME reports that the two have teamed up in order to make a crowdsourced music video of their song "In My Place" for the campaign.

The campaign is trying to fight the practice of buying large tracts of land in poverty-stricken countries for profit, which can drive people into homelessness. Fans are asked to submit video or photo footage to the band by March 20th; music video director Mat Whitecross will then select the footage and edit together the final cut. The will be released in April when The World Bank has its Annual Spring Meeting.
