Taylor Swift To Return To Top Ten Next Week
Posted by Joseph Lee on 02.16.2013

Billboard reports that Taylor Swift is likely to return to the top ten of the Billboard 200 next week, along with several other acts thanks to sales increases following the Grammy Awards.

Mumford & Sons' Babel should go back to #1 for the first time in four months, selling around 150,000 copies. The 2013 Grammy Nominees album should also see a sales increase to a total between 85,000 and 100,000, good enough for #2.

Other albums to get increases include Bruno Mars' Unorthodox Jukebox, Taylor Swift's Red, fun.'s Some Nights, the Lumineers' self-titled album, Maroon 5's Overexposed, Rihanna's Unapologetic, the Black Keys' El Camino, Hunter Hayes' self-titled debut and Ed Sheeran's +.

Mars, Swift, fun and The Lumineers may all sell over 50,000. Both Mars and Swift could have even higher sales, while Fun should also see a return to the top ten. They have been absent since September 15.

The sales are also helped by a promotion in the iTunes store, with several Grammy-nominated albums priced for $6.99 and $7.99, including Babel, Overexposed, +, El Camino and Hunter Hayes. Other discounted albums include Journey's Greatest Hits and Bob Marley and the Wailers' Legend. That album was already increasing due to the Grammy Awards' tribute to Marley. On the show, Bruno Mars, Sting, Rihanna, Ziggy Marley and Damian Marley performed Bob Marley's "Could You Be Loved."

Here are the predicted top ten for next week, with last week's rank in parenthesis.

1. Mumford & Sons - Babel (#4)
2. 2013 Grammy Nominees (#11)
3. Bruno Mars - Unorthodox Jukebox (#8)
4. Taylor Swift - Red (#12)
5. Josh Groban - All That Echoes (#1)
6. Now 45 (#3)
7. fun. - Some Nights (#14)
8. The Lumineers - The Lumineers (#10)
9. Pink - The Truth About Love (#23)
10. Tim McGraw - Two Lanes of Freedom (#2)

It should be noted that the Building Chart reflects the first four days (Monday through Thursday) of SoundScan's tracking week (which ends Sunday) as reported by six major merchants: iTunes, Trans World Entertainment, Best Buy, Starbucks, Target and Anderson Merchandisers. Billboard estimates that they make up about 85% of all U.S. album sales.
