Eve Backtracks on Claim that Britney Spears Didn't Sing on 'Scream and Shout'
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 02.17.2013

Eve has backpedaled on claims that Britney Spears didn't sing on will.i.am's new song. As you may recall, the rapper said on What Happens Live that she had "heard" that Spears didn't sing on "Scream and Shout," to which Spears' rep replied that it was "absolute BS."

Now, TMZ caught up with Eve in Washington D.C. and asked her about the comment. Eve replied, "I didn't say anything about her singing. I said something about her British accent. We know it's Britney Spears singing the song. I never said anything."

However, if you listen to the song then you know that the majority of the song is Britney doing her accent thing, so Eve's backtrack is half-hearted at best.
