Weird Al Yankovic Hosts Live Bonnaroo Show
Posted by Joseph Lee on 02.19.2013

Billboard reports that Weird Al Yankovic hosted a webcast for Bonnaroo called "B.L.A.M!," ("Bonnaroo Live Announcement Megathon"). It had a mock "call-in show" format and Weird Al revealed the biggest performers for this year's Bonnaroo festival.

In addition to skits, there was a performance from the band Portugal The Man, who then came back on stage later to perform "Canadian Idiot" with Al singing lead and playing accordion. The event included games (a pie eating race, bobbing-for-meat), call-ins from fans and celebrities (including Mumford & Sons and Jimmy Fallon) and a panel of Bonnaroo "staffers" who took calls from fans. Some of these included indie comics like Mike Birbiglia and Eugene Mirman.

The names announced include Paul McCartney, Mumford & Sons, Björk, and Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. Weird Al himself confirmed that he would appear at the event. The four day music festival takes place June 13-16 in Manchester, Tennessee.
